In the midst of an ever-shifting music industry, we-do-it-all entertainment company Omnirox shines like a beacon of hope with our unique approach to creating and releasing the best new music the scene has to offer. Channeling years of industry experience and a genuine adoration of music, the Omnirox family strives to create new, innovative solutions and approaches to the age-old business of running a record label. By keeping our ears plastered to the ground and our eyes peeled for fresh, ground-breaking acts, we’ve set the wheels in motion to adapt and evolve with the industry while putting the needs of our artists and the desires of our fans first.
Our beloved label ignited into the wildfire it is today in the spring of 2006, when musician (and eventually debut Omnirox signee) Gene Dante introduced CEO Lisa van Oosterum to General Manager Brett Fasullo, where they struck up a business relationship that would set the ball rolling on Omnirox almost immediately before the eclectic backdrop of a seedy dive bar in New Hampshire. Drawing on both parties vast backgrounds as performers and producers themselves, the duo set about to form a Boston-based enterprise that functions a both a management company and record label, eschewing the belief that one size has to fit all when it comes to music. The addition of indie rock group The Sterns to our developing roster was an immediate no-brainer, forming the beginning of the sonic aesthetic Omnirox now embodies.
With an emphasis on indie, pop and alternative music that offers mainstream appeal in a staunchly independent manner, we’ve built a company so far outside the box that box isn’t even in our consciousness. A strong awareness for the needs of our artists supports the foundation as our aspiration for fairness and personability form the walls, all encapsulated by an overlying taste for solidly good music- something we believe this world needs more of. As Brett says, we’re “a jack of all trades and master of a lot,” open to building flexible relationships with artists based on the individual wants and goals of that artist in varying capacities. So if you’re looking for breath of fresh air in the music you listen to and the people who put it out, look no further. Omnirox is anything but the same old same old.
